hard to believe but since March '09 only my september was brutal losing 3 units...so losing 10 units the first month posting seriously here is brutal...
Perhaps it is best to lay off these though...

and sorry for the lack of a writeup...the end and beginning of the month is my only busy time....

UEFA Europa League
Benfica v Liverpool
draw +225 - 0.45 to win 1 unit

Fulham v Wolfsburg
Fulham 0, -0.5 -111 - 1.11 to win 1 unit
Over 2.5 goals -111 - 1.11 to win 1 unit

2-1 fulham seems like an obvious scoreline to me

Valencia v Atletico Madrid
Over 3 goals +102 - 0.98 to win 1 unit

the over 2.5 pays just a little low for me but i still think it is a good bet. Risking the push to pay less....

thanks steve....what a crazy 2nd half i had (7 goals in Fulham and Valencia 2nd halfs after 0 goals in the 1st half) which i desperately needed...hopefully sign that good things are coming but after 1 day who knows.

April 2nd:
Coca-Cola League One
Exeter v Colchester
Exeter AH0 1.87 - 1.14 to win 1 unit

Exeter undefeated in 5 as they try and avoid relegation. 2 straight home wins vs bristol and walsall. Exeter have only lost 4 home games but they do draw a lot so maybe money back. They have beaten leeds and drew to Milwall, Swindon and Norwich. (top 4 clubs). Colchester is 5-7-7 on the road losing 3 straight (1 win in last 8 road games) losing to Walsall, Carlisle Utd and Bristol on recent. Promotion hopeful slipping vs a near relegation team playing well (and at home), i will generally take the relegation team.

considered the over in the championship Scunthorpe game and Carlisle AH-0.25 but that's the only morning bet for me.

record updated next post...

England Coca-Cola League Championship
West Brom v Leicester
West Bromwich Albion -0.5, -1 1.88 - 1.12 to win 1 unit

I am not entirely convinced the odds are worth the bet here but i really think WBA will win so no value or not i took it. Leicester have lost 3 straight and have struggled on the road against top clubs. Leicester have lost to 4th Cardiff, 5th Swansea, 1st Newcastle, and 3rd Nottingham Forest. So it makes sense (enough for me to bet) that with their recent form and inability to beat the top clubs, WBA has a great chance. WBA themselves have 7 straight home wins last losing to Nottingham. In that span perhaps conventry was the best club so it might be a little misleading. The potential return of Roman Bednar and some others is a key reason as well.

League Of Ireland Premier Division
St Patricks v Sporting Fingal
over 2 goals 1.80 - 1.25 to win 1 unit
a little surprised on the goaline but perhaps the rain in dublin is falling harder than the weather report suggests. Maybe last years stats don't always carry over but i generally use them until the season has fully got going. At the 1.5 line last season, St Patrick 15 overs and 2 unders and so far 1-0 with a 3-0 win vs UC Dublin. Sporting always capable of scoring and do conceed a lot. Might be tough to score against Patricks (3 games no goals) but i think they can and certainlt St Patricks can score 2 on there own. Might need a late one to get a winner but 2 goals seems possible

probably it for now but still looking at other games but not liking anything right now...sweeeeeeeet Morrison WBA goal...wow!

thanks hache man....good luck on the weekend...i hear there are some basketball games today....

english plays to come but kickoff starts soon in germany:

Germany Bundesliga I
Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Over 2.5 goals 1.80 -1.25 to win 1 unit

Borussia Dortmund v Werder Bremen:
Highest Scoring Half: 2nd half - 2.00 - 1.00 to win 1 unit

SC Freiburg v Bochum
SC Freiburg 0, -0.5 1.80 - 1.25 to win 1 unit

-that dortmund play is a bit of a hunch but dortmund 3-11 on home over 1.5 in the first half and i suspect a tight game to start because the game is so important for both clubs.

Barclays Premier League
Arsenal v Wolverhampton
Walcott, T to score anytime 2.87 - 0.27 to win 0.5 unit
he was a man with a mission midweek and i think it will carry on today....doesn't score as much as set up but these bets are always a guessing game anyway...unless you bet take Rooney to score when he is in. Only trying to win 1/2 unit here.

Portsmouth v Blackburn
Over 2.25 goals 1.74 - 1.35 to win 1 unit
i know there is a ton of players out for portsmouth but blackburn are bad on the road and have given up 36 goals in 16 road matches. I not convinced the blackburn will win this one so going with goals. Pompey still have some goal chances and maybe surprises the bettting world with a 2-1 late winner. I do think 2 goals with a chance of 3. 4 of last 5 H2H in pompey have gone over but i wonder how much stats can be used in this one. Either 0-0 or over...haha...not sure i'd over 2.5 though

Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur 2.25 - 0.80 to win 1 unit
I do believe that spurs will claim 4th despite playing a lot of top clubs to come. Certainly if they have any desire they will need to beat sunderland here. They do have trouble against sunderland and sunderland has a great home record so tricky game for sure. But i do like it....

snowstorm and at least 13 cms of snow here since 8 am....:ohno:

Europa Leauge
Standard de Liège v Hamburger
over 2.5 goals 1.80 - 1.25 to win 1 unit
i thought i was smart thinking both to score was a good pick but the odds just don't interest me too much...so i'm going with the over 2.5 instead and really hoping it doesn't end 1-1.

VfL Wolfsburg v Fulham
VfL Wolfsburg AH-1 2.09 - 0.91 to win 1 unit
i think man u and arsenal showed me that maybe english teams aren't as strong as usually. And although you can blame injuries and questionable calls (and Messi), i do think it might happen 2 more times today. And fulham has their own injury woes with Dempsey ruled out. That late goal for wolfsburg certainly was imo the turning point of this tie and i think will carry over very early in the match....2-0 3-0 wolfy win. (i think)

Atlético Madrid v ValenciaAtlético Madrid 0, -0.5 1.89 - 1.11 to win 1 unit

Liverpool v Benfica: Qualify From Tie
Benfica 2.20 - 0.83 to win 1 unit

internet has been coming and going and i am afraid it might lose connection for awhile so not much reasoning here.

uphill battle for me but it happens i guess..

England Coca-Cola League One
Leyton Orient v Norwich
Leyton Orient Draw No Bet 3.2 - 0.46 to win 1 unit
always like to take relegation zone teams vs team with little to play for. Norwich plays Charlton on the weekend so maybe they will rest players as they`ve pretty much won promotion. Norwich recent road lost to tranmere...

Yeovil v Millwall
Millwall 1.80 - 1.25 to win 1 unit
millwall playing really well as they try and claim the 2nd automatic promotion spot. Recent road wins vs 3rd Leeds, 7th Colchester Utd, MK Dons and Carlisle Utd. Yeovil is in that position fairly safe from relegation and no chance of promotion. I don`t think they will lack motivation like some believe but it will be tough for anytime to stop millwall. And leeds and bristol both recently won on the road vs yeovil. I imagine popular pick so always cautious about those but i did take them.

Bristol Rovers v Southampton
over 2.5 goals 1.90 - 1.10 to win 1 unit
very worried about the 1-1 scoreline but i figure i can live-in play cover if need be (wouldn`t help the record though). Both teams are 50% over/under clubs at home/away and have been averaging more than a goal for and against in the past 6. I think both teams will not be happy with a draw so if there is a 1-1 score they should still go for goals. 1 point would pretty much end both teams promotional playoff chance. Bristol 7 points back and Southampton 8 back of 6th. This looks like a typical someone wins 2-1 but not sure who wins it.

-maybe more adding but my posting (and non-posting) has been brutal so probably keeping the picks small.

Good luck....i need it.

Wednesday April 14th

Denmark Super Ligaen
Midtjylland v AGF Aarhus
Midtjylland 1.80 -1.25 to win 1 unit
Prior to the lost last round vs 4th place Esbjerg, Midtylland 3 straight and 5 of their last 6. In those games it includes road wins vs 2nd Odense and 4th Silkeborg IF. Midt. now sit 3 points out of a Europe spot and are playing as well as anyone giving up just 5 goals in 8 games since the winter break. AGF is 4-2-6 on the road and have lost to top teams like Odense, Copenhagen and Esbjerg fB and lost 3 of their last 4 road games. H2H record is really the tipping point for me....Midtylland have won 5 straight H2H at home. Hot team, a great H2H and motivation for Europe I think the home side is a great option today.

Sweden Allsvenskanliga
Malmo FF v BK Hacken
both to score: YES 1.80 -1.25 to win 1 unit
hacken with two straight 0-0 games and only 2 games in 6 have seen both teams to score; so maybe a tricky bet but malmo doesn't really fit into the 0-0 type teams. And I am a big believer that teams are bound to score sometime...H2H with malmo being the home club has seen both teams score in 4 straight and 5 of the last 6. Only one game since 2006 so maybe this stat doesn't mean as much as it sometimes does.

Denmark Viasat Divisionen
Skive v Hvidovre IF
over 3 goals 2.02 -0.98 to win 1 unit
Both clubs are 6 overs in 9 games home/away and have scored/conceeded a lot in the last 6 games. Skive 8:12 against in 6 games, Hvidovre 8:9. The reason i like the over is i do think hvidorve wins but i don't see a clean sheet..both teams to score is a -225 so i guess i'm not alone on that. The only thing stopping me from betting the visitors is they only have 1 win in 9 games and Skive 3 home wins in 4. So I think over is the best bet here.

Good luck today....

adding two more without the reasoning (but i am sure i have a reason)

Aston Villa v Everton
Everton DNB 2.38 - 0.73 to win 1 unit

Tottenham v Arsenal
Arsenal 0, -0.5 1.94 - 1.06 to win 1 unit

I don't remember the last time i bet for my club and although 10 draws in 18 tottenham home derby, we are far too ready for this one. RVP will save this game and maybe save the season...at least win this one. Hopefully refs don't call any hand balls in the box like chelsea got yesterday.

who knew Gomes could save a team....guess it is 2010-2011 for the gunners.

no time for writeups today but i did do the same amount of 'research' last night and some this morno...

Sweden Allsvenskanliga
Mjallby v Kalmar FF
both teams to score: YES 1.75 - 1.33 to win 1 unit

Elfsborg v Djurgarden
Elsborg Ah-1 1.71 - 1.41 to win 1 unit

Trelleborgs FF v IFK Goteborg
Gotebord AH-0.25 1.80 - 1.25 to win 1 unit

i liked Gelfe but looks like a public bet and GAIS 4 straight home wins H2H.

Good luck today....

seems like an over afternoon coming...not a ton of time so not much reasoning. Big thing is draws don't help any of the teams so if there is a 1-1 scoreline teams should still go for it..at least i hope so..

Coca-Cola Football League One
Huddersfield Town v Millwall
over 2.5 goals -110 - 1.10 to win 1 unit

Germany Bundesliga
1. FC Köln v VfL Bochum
Over 2.25 -122 - 1.22 to win 1 unit

Italy Serie A
Internazionale v Juventus
Over 2.5 goals -110 - 1.10 to win 1 unit
everyone in the whole wide world is on Inter so i'm thinking Juve ml is the play of the day but i haven't the guts to play it myself...so 2-1 juve

1-2 yesterday so the record should reflect it but i will update after these...

UEFA Champions League
Bayern Munich v Lyon
Bayern Munchen AH-0.75 1.89 - 1.11 to win 1 unit
Over 3 goals 2.80 - 0.56 to win 1 unit

i am risking the 1/2 winner 1/2 void on the 1 goal win but i don't like the juice for the straight win. Just a bit short...perhaps at kickoff there is time if the odds go down but i am sure Munchen is the popular pick so odds might go up. Surprised at the over odds with a french side as visitors and quite capable of scoring and we all saw munchen against hannover and even Man U. This game does have a 2-1 3-1 scoreline to it imo...

For lyon first time in the semis and the trip from france to germany has to have some kind of effect on them. According to soccernet, 10 hours with an overnighter has to effect the routine-mad driven soccer players. But going into the Bernabeu and stealing the tie has to count for something. Just not this game...i hope. Over 3 odds are far too appealing to pass up for me...both teams can score and i have this uncontrollable urge to bet French road overs in Europe.
